Drakensberg Huts & Camps
All huts are listed, although some are no longer habitable. The camps are well known overnight spots for hikes. The huts must be booked through Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife.
Bannerman Hut
Bannerman Hut is located inside the Giant's Castle Reserve in the Drakensburg Central area of KwaZulu Natal. This remotely located hut is often used for a night when traversing between the Giant's Castle and Injisuthi areas on a multiple day trek.
The morning sunrise makes the hike up the hill well worth while.

Lacated in Injasuti. The hike to this delapidated hut is past Fergy's Cave and then a severe uphill hike near the end. The views are outstanding and a hike to this hut should be on everyone's to do list.
As their are no windows its best to take a tent and sleep near the hut.

Keith Bush Camp
Keith Bush Camp used to be just a hut but it was demolished in the 1973 when the valley was declared wilderness area, where no man-made structure were allowed. This is a good overnight stop for a hike to Champagne Castle Peak via Gray’s Pass.

Meander Hut overlooks meander stream and is set on the edge of the hill. A really stunning view over the valley looking back towards Highmoor.

Mzimkhulwana Hut
This hut is in excellent condition and sleeps up to 30. The Hut is day 2 of the Giants cup trail.
From the Cobham Reserve its an easy 8.6km hike to the hut. The hut is in a valley and can thus be quite chilly at night, take an extra jacket with.

Formerly a Fire Lookout the hut is located in the Cathedral Peak Reserve. The hut is very exposed to the elements. The view from the hut is from Cathkin Peak in the south to the Amphitheatre in the north, with Cathedral Peak range jutting out in the middle.
