Unforgettable journey with James
We had the absolute best experience with our tour guide, James. From the moment we met him, his warmth, humor, and passion for the mountains set the tone for an unforgettable journey. His knowledge is absolutely incredible — from local legends and rare plants to hidden paths and breathtaking views, James knew it all and then some.

He made us feel safe, inspired, and completely in awe of the Drakensberg’s beauty. James didn’t just guide us through nature — he brought it to life.

Thank you, James, for making this trip magical. We’ll never forget it!

Injisuthi Battle Caves
We found James on the internet and had an immediate positive response for our wish to visit the Injisuthi Battle Caves. Before visiting we were well-informed and received background information about the San. The day itself was breathtaking and James's knowledge about the San, archeology, history, plants is impressive.

James is a warm, kind, knowledgeable and considerate guide. Warmly recommended. PS.We loved the

Guided hike November 24
We found James online and booked a guided hike. James is a lovely, friendly, kind man and really made our trip up the Drakensberg that much more exciting. He took us on a brilliant walking path full of breath taking views. His knowledge of the Drakensberg, wildlife, and plants is second to none and answered all our questions.

Breathtaking Viewpoints
We had a very nice trip with James. He answered all our questions and knows a lot about Drakensberg and its history and nature. He tailored the hike to our level and took us to breathtaking viewpoints. We would definitely recommend a hike with James, we had a very nice day and enjoyed every second of it!

Wholesome and fun experience
What a wholesome, fun and unreal experience that was! James' knowledge and passion for the Drakensberg is unquestionable.

Best communication I've had with a guide and so helpful. Even the stupidest questions get the right/best answers haha!

Hiking with James
James is a highly qualified and dedicated guide. He always plans ahead of time and sends pertinent maps and information to his hikers. He is punctual, organized and leads with great knowledge of our surroundings.

Every time I go up on his weekend hikes, I am blown away by the beauty of the Berg, and grateful that I made it safely there and back.

Hike with James Seymour as our guide
We did a 6hour hike with James as our guide.

James was just amazing and without him, I do not believe that my mum, my dad and brother-in-law, my wife and 2 kids would have completed the hike to see 3 waterfalls up to breakfast stream.

His advice on what to wear, take along and guiding us all from 7h30 up the Berg and safely returning was truly special. Would love to do an overnight hike on the Berg with James again soon.

Hiking with James
We have been hiking on Saturdays with James Seymore for the past two years, and every Saturday is a new adventure with breathtaking scenery and proper challenges! James knows the Drakensberg well and is a well experienced guide.

We recommend him wholeheartedly.
